ONLINE MEETING

On December 25, 2021 our first online meeting took place. We had the opportunity to see each other online. Talk, exchange experiences and ask questions to the founders of the project. using the TwinSpace opportunity, we moved to the chat where we could also ask questions about project tasks. As a result, the general assumptions of the project and main tasks were established. It was a good and creative time. Now we have to implement the planned activities aimed at achieving the goals of the project.


About the project 

Preschool period covers the development of children and all areas of their lives. The environment is one of the most important factors that the child is related to. In the preschool period, the child begins to become aware of both his culture and his relations with the environment. During this period, both parents and educators should support children's interest and curiosity about the environment. Thus, from a young age From the beginning, children's awareness of positive behavior, skills, respect and responsibility towards the environment can be increased, and they can gain awareness of environmental problems by recognizing environmental problems. Environmental problems are increasing day by day. Natural resources are used unconsciously. Fighting environmental problems has gained great importance by creating awareness and sensitivity in the face of these problems. In this context, the concept of SUSTAINABILITY is based on the conscious use of natural resources, the reduction of waste, the recycling of resources and the continuous protection of the environment in a way that considers the needs of future generations.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  • The individual's understanding of his social, historical and natural environment as a whole, acquiring a critical view and conscious sensitivity in his interaction with the environment, 
  • The prevention of destruction, pollution of the environment, its protection, development, active participation in the solution of environmental problems, gaining behavior change, 
  • Natural life , comprehend the importance of natural resources for the necessity of humanity, 
  • To provide knowledge of the historical environment in which they live and to develop behavior to protect cultural remains, 
  • To analyze the characteristics of the artificial and natural environment comparatively, to examine the interaction network between them, 
  • To learn and apply the necessary technical methods to conduct environmental research, 
  • Gaining the functions and skills that are capable of defining and solving environmental problems, 
  • Developing the features required in social life (such as self-confidence, responsibility, creativity, expressing oneself to others, applying what one believes), 
  • Knowing what value judgments one has, and It is aimed to educate individuals who know how to resolve the contradictions that arise if people do not have the same value judgments, by reconciliation, and who can create or participate in social activities that can even protect and develop the characteristics of the natural environment.
